West Fork/Hwy 287 – Cinnamon Lodge/ Hwy 191

Length: 54 miles

Description: This section continues the northeast direction of the Montana Trail climbing steeply from West Fork into the Madison Range and through the Lee Metcalf Wilderness to Expedition Pass (10096-ft), the high point of this section. The trail then descends sharply to Highway 191 and Cinnamon Lodge at Wilson Draw. Wilderness hiking etiquette is required when in WSAs. Bear spray and bear safety protocols are highly recommended.
